As Israel’s God desires for us him to follow,
To come to know him as our Savior to Hallow.
When part of our lives we allow him to be,
Is when we allow him to truly make us free.
How do I become willing in my life to let God prevail?
To clearly see his will divine, through the mortal veil?
To make him the center of my universe, my all and in all?
To clearly follow the path he marked and heed his call?
When the clouds of despair mar my vision,
And the Evil one clouds my view with precision.
How do I let the winds of faith in Christ clear my view?
And lead me back to his path, to find my way through?
By bowing to his will and seeking to find his way,
I can clearly see the path and stand with him one day.
I’ll build my faith, step by step and in him put my trust,
And to the harvest of the world in my sickle thrust.
The pathway marked by blood-stained feet,
Has clearly shown the way, the pain no need repeat,
If I will but repent and return to him who saves,
Escaping the evil one who our soul enslaves.
For those ready to return and let God prevail,
He will provide the wind to then fill your sail.
The pathway becomes clearer, and clouds lift away,
Your course corrections can lead you home to stay.
Are we willing to have our will swallowed up in him?
Or find ourselves in dark waters deep, left alone to swim?
Plead for his strength, our challenges to meet,
Never give in and never falter to the voice of defeat.
When we lock away the natural man, and throw away the key,
From behind the door of self-deception, we can be made free,
To build our faith and strong desire to hear and follow him well,
Finally, and permanently in our lives God can truly prevail.
Blessed with divine potential, children of God are we,
Building bridges of faith and courage to follow his will be,
The steppingstones that lead us back through the mortal veil,
When we are finally determined to eternally let God prevail.
With open arms and scarred hands, side and feet,
We’ll one day our Redeemer and Savior meet.
He stands ready to receive each of us as well,
If we will justly in our lives let God prevail.
