Before the foundations of this world were framed,
In councils divine our Father chose and named,
The Holy Messiah, his first spirit born Son,
Would be born of Mary and be the Holy one.
Begotten of the Father, who in his mercy and grace,
Framed the plan so we could return to that place.
To once again learn at the Father’s knee,
He planned and provided us with our free agency.
His plan was perfect, his emissary the same,
The Messiah, The Savior, our Redeemer his name.
Only the most holy and perfect could pay,
For his life’s mission was to provide the way.
Because of his mercy and grace freely afforded,
He has worked out our salvation to each accorded.
Tho’ many on earth esteemed him as naught,
He paid the price, our souls and love he bought.
Only he could work out the plan for our salvation,
Only he could offer himself as true redemption.
He suffered alone and bled from every pore.
He yielded his will, and all our sins and ills he bore.
Then the betrayal and humilities kiss endured,
His ultimate sacrifice was then ensured,
They smite, spit and scourged his holy frame,
He yielded his will so we could bear his name.
A crown of thorns as king of suffering he wore,
The King of all, would still suffer more.
He carried his cross until his strength was spent,
When beneath our heavy load his back bent.
His arms now spread open to receive his glory,
His hands and wrist secured by nails history.
His precious blood he freely gave for us all.
For his mission’s purpose saved us from the fall.
His sacrifice and death upon the cross at calvary,
Was but an ode to the sting of death for many.
For glorious and everlasting a tomb found empty,
Bridging the gap removing once and for all enmity.
He lives! Casting off the bondage of death,
He now in the flesh does bring all new breath.
He salvaged our souls from deaths grip sure,
Freed from death’s grip, we now come home pure.
