The Light of Christ

The light of Christ burns in my heart,
I know that he is near.
He teaches me to do my part,
And shows the pathway clear.

The light of Christ it lights my soul,
He teaches me to love,
To live with him this is my goal,
As he pleads for me above.

The light of Christ can lead me home,
If I will but endure,
His great example he has shown,
His promises are sure.

The light of Christ it lights the way,
The pathway he did show.
He’ll lead and guide me home to stay,
My face and name he’ll know.

The Light of Christ burns brightly now,
My countenance does shine,
Dear Savior, thou didst show me how,
My Lord, my grace divine.
