From the very beginning of man’s mortal sojourn,
The need for a Savior and Redeemer we would learn,
Would come from the wise choice to face the world of sin,
Through agency’s decision the real journey did begin.
Though difficult spiritual banishment seemed a final blow,
It would bring heaven’s pascual lamb down here below.
To lift the fallen man from physical deaths sure power,
The victory for the evil one would have its lonely hour.
The Lamb of God would one day walk the lonely road,
Where only the Unblemished Lamb could Satan’s power erode.
He did not pass the cup along, but with love he bore all sin,
Our sorrows, pains, and griefs he bought from power within.
The Lamb of God had now become the sacrificial lamb,
Reaching down from heaven’s door was the Great I Am.
Unblemished, perfect, undefiled, yielded one so divine,
Now can bring us back to him as we ourselves refine.
The Lamb of God did heal the sick and cause the lame to walk,
He cleansed the leper, gave sight to the blind, the mute did talk.
Now he adds his light so pure to radiate our lives to fill,
If we will forsake all our sins and follow his divine will.
Believe on the eternal redemption of Christ the Holy one,
Our justification and sanctification are wrought by the Son.
Now a more intimate personal sacrificial form is our choice,
If we will heed the clarion call of the Lamb of God’s voice.
The cup that he would not pass, is now passed by hands pure,
Bringing about a weekly cleansing to help us each endure.
The blood of the Lamb has entirely repaid the price involved,
Our Savior and Redeemer has all our pains and sins resolved.
The Lamb of God redemptions requirements has fully paid,
When he bled from every pore and on the cross was laid.
His hands and feet now bear the symbols of his sacrifice divine,
Rising from the tomb, conquered death so our light could shine.
