A Marvelous Work and a Wonder

Into a grove of trees on a beautiful Spring day,
A young man went into that grove to pray.
His one desire was a simple answer to know,
Which church should I join? I desire to grow.

A simple and earnest prayer of longing and desire,
Was offered from a spiritual boy who did inquire.
His humble prayer from a sincere and seeking heart,
Found the answer requiring far more from his part.

Little did he know the consequence of his ask,
Would one day require his life, the final task.
He brought forth from darkness holy writ,
And suffered agony that would will a normal man quit.

But Joseph had a work to do, no man could put asunder,
Even a work, yes, a marvelous work and a wonder.
Who can carry on the work that he began that day?
The work is now in our capable hands, he showed the way.

Blessed are they that shall assist to bring Zion forth,
Bringing his children home from the land of the North.
With blessings unmeasured their cup will he renew,
When they hear the message, they’ll know it is true.

How beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.
As they walk hand in hand into the temples they will see.
Enduring unto the end, will then be their covenant path,
As they seek to remain faithful and receive all the Father hath.

For the words written long ago when Christ was on the earth,
Have now become the greatest symbol of his infinite worth.
For now the plain and precious words are found among man,
Bringing truth into the light by his divine and holy plan.

Now is the time to share his Gospel in deed and in word,
The eternal plan to return to him, the greatest ever heard.
By those now lost seeking to be found by servants he does send,
Will fill their hearts with peace and love their pains does mend.

For there is but one true God and shepherd upon the whole earth,
Our one true King, the Lamb of God who from his Holy birth,
Had one true purpose and design to save and raise again,
If we will but endure, we shall be lifted up, for he will win.
