The Natural man is by nature a self-seeking son,
Who is bent on self-promotion and satisfaction,
His many hours are spent seeking for pleasure,
To enhance, expand and exaggerate are his leisure.
At the root of this proud soul is a complex of superiority,
Using this to give others a complex of inferiority.
If a magnifying glass were used to see,
‘tis only a mock to cover his true inadequacy.
In true realization he walks the path alone,
A searching soul without a home.
No comfort or peace can he find,
To quell the voices in his mind.
In total bondage he is found
In Satan’s chains securely bound.
Is there hope for this lost soul?
Can he change by simply setting a goal?
Can a doctor of Psychology,
Cure this personal malady?
No, the answer does not lie with society,
For man alone has not the ability.
The answer is Christ only he can cure,
His liberating powers, they are sure.
Only he can change a prideful heart,
And clean the slate for a brand-new start.
Only he has the power to effect true conversion,
Through his atonement can come elimination
Of the prideful soul lost to light,
Yes! He can return them to the right.
