In a world where darkness encompasses the hearts and souls of men,
Where one can be crucified by the masses for taking in hand a pen.
Where follies enable thoughtless stupor to narrow the mind and will,
Finding shimmers of light amidst the darkness, discovering he exists still.
Enlightened minds darkened by the lack of basking in his true light,
Fumbling around in broad daylight as if their world were dark as night.
Following the echo of voices that find fault at every whim and word,
Find his light and words ennobling and uplifting each time they’re heard.
The one true source of light that illuminates every soul of mankind,
To seek the everlasting light is every heart and sincere desire to find.
Only one can dispel the darkness of the mind and repentant soul,
The one who disperses his source of light when we give him control.
The light of Christ fills the immensity of space and provides the way,
For enlightened beings to feel his love and share with others each day.
He is in and through all things, uplifting the downtrodden tired and weak,
His light a healing balm of Gilead, removes our pains each time we seek.
He is the light that shineth in darkness, he is the Sun of our darkest day,
Christ can heal our wounded hearts and provide comfort along the way.
His light cannot be hid in darkness, for he is the Redeemer of mankind,
Whose light, life, and atonement empowers us his pathway home to find.
