Bring Us Home

The soft and gentle whisper awakes and stirs our very soul,
As we gaze into the eyes of a newborn babe our eyes are full.
What promises were made in that time long ago forgot,
When the Father of us all gave the plan for which we fought.

The struggle of mortality difficult and wrought with pain,
Would all be worth the tears and toll for our eternal gain.
Sometimes the memory of that day we sat at Fathers knee,
Flashes into our minds as we struggle to clear our vision and see.

Along the path of life our pain and sorrow are bitter and real,
And it seems at times we walk alone, no spirit do we feel.
As choices lead us out of his light and into darkness wrath,
He gently nudges us to return and helps us find the path.

Unlike the Son, we have a choice to always have his hand,
Guide us into the paths that lead in holy places to stand.
He does not leave us all alone to face the world at night,
No, he gives us freedom to walk away from his Holy light.

He whispers daily through the spirit he will surely guide,
As we seek his path and endure our cross as we are tried.
His one desire, his one true aim, the Savior did not shrink,
He bridged the gap we create when we fail to eternally think.

He longs to bring us home to him, to no longer feel our pain,
His holy plan had one design, for which our redeemer was slain.
That one design is eternal life for all that would heed his cry,
Do not give in, seek for him, he will save you if you but try.

His perfect plan designed for us, does not have a single flaw,
But aligns us on the straight and narrow path according to his law.
Experience brings the needed growth that builds our faith in him,
And extols the brilliance of his light within us never grows dim.

The plan, his Son, his laws, his love all completely show his aim,
That we all can find our way back home to him it is the same.
He does not slumber, nor does he sleep, but waits for our return,
His spirit will guide us safely home and hearts with faith will burn.

His one desire to bring us home, nothing will deter his will,
If we will seek to follow his Son who waits upon us still.
He marked the path and lead the way his blood he freely gave,
So man could return to live with him, and not remain a slave.
