Moral Courage

To stand with the divine who never denied his faith,
To be counted as one who despite fear and pride,
Would never give in to the matters of this world,
But with courage their distain and ridicule deride.

With moral courage to believe what the spirit would teach,
Intellectual courage to affirm principles, faith and belief.
Standing for truth no matter the personal price,
Administering to the lost one’s personal relief.

Having the moral courage to open your mouth,
To share the truths, you hold in your heart and soul.
Willingly laying your sacrifice on his alters to win,
With righteous convictions whose heart is made whole.

No one can look in the mirror and reflect anything more,
Then the sentence your own heart mirrors and reflects.
Moral courage will yet be revered by the world,
When you stand for the truth and derision deflects.

The eternities of days gone by, and the mortality of today,
Along with the forever of tomorrow will our courage test.
Yet to not abandon the truths when courage is on the line,
Will give us the moral courage to never, no, never rest.
