His Perfect Love

Our Father’s Love emanates through Jesus Christ his son,
Whose word and justice can divide us from the Holy One.
He is the divine exemplar who did clearly mark the path,
His priceless sacrifice of perfect love gave all that he hath.

His one desire to bridge the gap we create by our choices,
When we fail to listen to his voice and follow other voices.
Our agency to choose to follow God and his Holy Son,
Was worth the precious price he paid when he our souls won.

The covenant path is not easy to find or stay on the narrow track,
As we wind our way along the path, he always has our back.
His one desire is for our souls to yield, measure, and define,
How his perfect love enables us to become like the One divine.

Choices that purify our hearts and bring us near to him,
Can not only fill our lamps with precious oil, but also trim,
The chasm we build when we choose to follow after sin,
Will enable us to quickly repent and refill our lamp within.

There is a divine connection between his law and love,
That yields our will to follow him and return to live above.
His love and laws are intertwined inseparable and divine,
And follow the course he set, in a straight and narrow line.

Encircled eternally in his arms of love is where we long to be,
Where pain and sorrow are left behind, then we’ll clearly see,
His precious blood he freely gave, our love was his one desire,
As he lit the eternal flame, with perfect love’s unquenchable fire.

He endured alone and laid down his life so we could live again,
All through his perfect love he wiped away our pain and sin.
In and through the Holy One we can be made clean and whole,
When we our desires and passions within his laws control.

Perfect love defined from an earthly perspective is this,
When we choose to follow him completely and never miss,
The former life we once had known and embrace his life anew,
Is when his perfect love perfects the miracle that is you.

The Holy One has built the bridge to close the widening rift,
We have created by our choices, through his holy gift.
His perfect love embraces our prideful and sinful hearts,
And softens the inner guilt and compels our inner parts.

Sing his praises both day and night, let your hearts in him rejoice,
Through his example we know the way to choose the better choice.
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,
Through whom we have the choice to choose him, the Holy One.

The path has been marked by his perfect love with his blood divine,
Now his desire for all to embrace, his atonement will us refine.
He can make us clean through the atoning blood of the Lamb,
Hear his voice, share and feel his love, and pass his final exam.
