Am I closer to God Tonight?

Each night as I pause and kneel and pray,
I ask myself, am I closer to God this day?
Did I find someone to serve as he would do?
Did I seek to follow him the whole day through?

Can I see the Savior in the eyes of those I see?
Have I felt his love and shared it for free?
Do I focus inward on the challenges I face?
Or find him by looking outward sharing his grace?

Have I sought to be all that he would have me be?
Can I my image in his countenance clearly see?
Does the Light of Christ fill my soul with light?
As I kneel and ask am I closer to God this night?
