When through the trials of life we are called,
And the world is unsure of the truth,
We shall hold fast to the iron rod,
And make our choices in our youth.
When the winds blow and the tempest tossed,
Our anchor and rock will be sure,
We shall stand fast immovable and firm,
We will keep ourselves clean and pure.
When the temptation to follow the crowd
Is felt from every friend and side,
We shall endure the silence that follows,
And keep our heads above the tide.
When the trials seem hard, unable to bare,
And the mountain is rugged and steep,
We shall press on with the strength of youth,
Our covenants and promises we’ll keep.
Chorus: We will keep our covenants true
And follow our prophet dear,
We will honor the Savior
And seek to draw him near.
