Rescued

Fleeting time speeds beyond my reach,
Walking at times alone with grief.
Feeling the bounds, I set upon myself,
Seeking inside alone for peace and relief.

Belief alone sometimes is just not enough,
There needs to be more than this is true.
The nurturing effect of faith I need,
To feed my soul when I am through.

Building belief nurtured with faith,
Will lead me back to him one day,
Where faith and belief dormant lie,
I’ll find him day by day as I pray.

Realizing now I am never truly alone,
For the Son of God wholly rescued me!
Bridging the gap, I created here in life,
His atonement has in reality set me free.
