Each time I kneel to pray at the close or beginning of a day,
I seek to find guidance that I may more fully walk in his way.
My heart’s desire is to serve and help each child of God,
To remember who they are, and to hold fast to the iron rod.
Turning my desires from inward to outward through prayer,
Putting off the natural man and finding purpose in his care.
Searching for his light divine to illuminate my souls desire,
Will build anew the palpable flame of my soul’s burning fire.
May I always be found on the path that leads to the Lord,
With a prayer in my heart to securely wield his mighty sword.
May my heart feel the desire to return to him each day,
As I find myself anew upon my knees as I kneel and pray.
May my prayers sincere desire always be the reason I adore,
The light received from the Saviors heavenly open door.
My sincere prayer’s desire is to always worthily be found,
Reaching out to heaven’s gate with my heart securely bound.
