The Doctrine of Christ

Christ has become the perfect example for each of us to follow,
He willingly witnessed to the Father, he humbled himself to hallow.
Following his example, taking his name upon us, as we are baptized.
Humbling ourselves to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost now realized.

Feasting upon the words of Christ, must become our one true desire,
Building upon our faith, that we may be unshaken in afflictions fire.
Relying wholly upon his merits which are mighty to save us all,
Pressing forward with stedfastness in Christ who saved us from the fall.

Retaining in our hearts a perfect brightness of hope and a love of God,
Reaching out to all with a love for all mankind, while holding to the rod.
Feasting daily upon his words divine to be enabled to endure to the end,
Knowing his promises are sure, “Ye shall have eternal life” will he defend.

This is the way, there is none other way nor name that can save us all.
Only in and through our Redeemer, Jesus Christ can we hear his call.
Enter in by the way, following his path from the beginning to the very end,
Knowing that his promises are sure, enter in the way, his paths defend.
