Christ, The Only One

Christ is the only one who can provide the path to take,
When we seek for his guidance and right choices make.
The words of Christ will tell us all things that we should do.
When we make covenants, we will remember his name anew.

When we follow his example and are baptized in his name,
We covenant to remember him and help others do the same.
We enter in the gate by water and repent of all our deeds,
Then the Holy Spirit will guide in our times of greatest needs.

Receiving a remission of our sins by fire and the Holy Ghost,
Will bring us nearer, he’ll reach out when we need him most.
Now, we are in the strait and narrow path that leads to him,
Finding strength each day in his word so he our lamps will trim.

We have not come this far alone, except by Christ and his word,
Giving heed to his words and light, allowing his voice to be heard.
Relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save,
Freeing ourselves from the evil one who would our souls enslave.

Now we press forward feasting on the words of Christ each day,
Enduring to the end to gain eternal life for this is the only way.
There is none other way or name given under heaven to save,
Feast daily on the words of Christ, and you will not become a slave.
