Stand Ye in Holy Places

Now upon us in our day, the scourge and folly of men may,
Seek to bind and subdue all men and cause their faith delay.
Standing for truth has never been more needed, simply stand,
For the hearts of men are failing daily in this now dark land.

How do we stand in holy places when the wrath of sin abounds?
When restraint and forgiveness are swept away and know no bounds?
How do we shield our families and help each of them to be strong?
Teaching each day to carry their shield and never choose the wrong?

Our homes must become our first line of defense and never yield ground,
Even when the pointing fingers of shame are pointing from all around.
We can stand for truth and right, we can keep our covenants strong,
Standing firm undaunted with faith, we will sing his redeeming song.

Call on his name both day and night, at the dusk of day and dawns new light,
We can stand on holy ground where we stand today by following the right.
The Savior has taught us to stand with him in his holy places and never yield,
To never allow the filth of the world to breach our minds or lower our shield.

In your homes, churches, synagogues, temples wherever you worship him,
Stand for truth and right, defend his holy word, he your lamp of life will trim.
When you find yourself in harm’s way or beyond the safety of his hope,
Simply ask the Lord to sanctify your place and he’ll help you to cope.

Stand ye in Holy Places and be not moved, call upon him and heed his voice,
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men and be strong by choice.
Never forget who you truly are, a daughter or son of a divine Heavenly being,
Be sanctified by the Holy Ghost and stand spotless your place guaranteeing.
