Enduring to The End

The challenges of mortal life can be both varied and demanding,
Each child of God is different, each with their own understanding.
No two lives are the same, for God gives to each man their own,
Into the battle for the souls of men, into the foray we are thrown.

When our hearts begin to fail in thick of thin things made by man,
We can then but remember through the Savior’s redemptive plan.
All mankind has his or her free agency, to choose to live aright,
Or sit alone mortally wounded in the brightest day or darkest night.

The battle you see has an outcome already decided by the Son divine,
Who rescued a soul so rebellious, cynical and yet proud as mine.
It matters not how far removed I have become from him who saves,
His reach is never shortened to one of his children who mis-behaves.

Enduring to the very end as a follower of the divine son who rescues,
Provides the means and ways for one so imperfect with many miscues.
To trust in the Son of God who mended and paved the way back to him,
Then into the bridegrooms chambers he’ll invite when we are lamps trim.
