The Babe Born in Bethlehem

The babe born in Bethlehem oh so long ago,
In a manger bed fit for lowest of the low.
Born on earth that man may one day be,
Resurrected to new life for all eternity.

The Savior of the world we’d come to know,
Born the Holy Son of God in wisdom did grow.
He focused outward and lifted the hand in need,
His love planted in every heart as a little seed.

The King of kings and Lord of lords his name,
A man of sorrows and born of grief he became.
His life shows us how we should live each day,
Building bridges for others to span the way.

What love he showed by the way he would live,
His perfect love would lead him to one day give,
His mortal life and journey ended upon the cross,
The risen Lord filled the void of that mortal loss.
