In the temple of the garden, the Tree of Life was planted there,
Living each day fed by the Lord, with not a single worldly care.
In the Father’s and Son’s presence partaking of the fruit each day,
Basking in the light of Christ, as they walked with him in the way.
Once they had partaken of the fruit of knowledge, things changed,
No longer were they allowed to remain, their lives were re-arranged.
Being in his presence now would be of necessity earned by works,
Living each day in the lonely world where death and evil now lurks.
Seeking now to find the way to walk back into his presence where,
Once again they could partake of the sweet and ardent fruit there.
The Holy Son of God would bring the fruit back to them in kind,
Feeding them through their journey here, his joy and peace to find.
As children of God, we desire to eat of the Tree of Life every day,
Knowing that the Holy Son of God is the Tree of Life in every way.
His pure love allows us daily in his temple to partake of his love,
Understanding that through his character we can return above.
