Christ Our King

Born this day in Bethlehem the King of Royal Birth,
Proclaimed by angels near and far is now on earth.
His glory claimed in heaven’s realm now descends,
His life a ransom for sins, our future in him depends.

His life was lived that all would see his pure love,
Our Royal King would his life freely give from above.
No mortal man could give the gift of life ever more,
No, it required the Son of God who did all of us adore.

Christ the Lord our King, did lay claim on mankind,
He healed the sick and restored sight to the blind.
His pure love and sacrifice willingly to save us all,
Lifted us from deaths grasp now saved from the fall.

In every way Christ our King brought us life anew,
His sacrifice in love he freely kept his promise true.
That heralds the gift of life eternal that he did bring,
Let heaven’s glory forever proclaim Christ is our King!
