Stand fast and remember that Christ our lord wept for thee,
In him we have assurance of joy in the morning as light we see.
His arms of mercy are extended wide as eternity to embrace,
As he extends the resurrection of eternal life to the human race.
No longer must we weep for our loved ones who’ve gone before,
But with songs of joy in the morning, his love and peace we’ll adore.
His arms of grace will us embrace as we stand anew that blessed day,
No longer constrained by deaths embrace we’ll stand come what may.
The empty tomb a testament to his atoning ways on that spring day,
Lifting chains of bondage through his atonement in the only way.
Now stands supreme the Son of God, now our Heavenly King!
Instilling in the mouths of men, yes! He is risen we all will sing!
Death’s sting has been erased from the annuls of this world’s stain,
Life everlasting now he proclaims through angelic host’s refrain.
Sing praises to the God who through his sacrifice we live once again,
Sing hallelujah, praises to his name, Amen, Amen and Amen!
