When Christ asked for water from the woman at the well,
She was non-believing until he offered her life to tell.
Providing living water that she would never thirst more,
Declaring his sonship and divinity she’d doubt no more.
The bread and water we eat and drink each sabbath day,
Reminds us he is the bread of life and feeds along the way.
We take the cup of water a symbol of the life blood he gave,
Now quenches all our sins and purges our souls to save.
Christ is the living water that flows from the temple pure,
He is the river of water of life that fulfils his promises sure.
Let him that is athirst, drink the waters of life freely of him,
The blood of Christ will sanctify us as our lamps he will trim.
By water commandments we keep, by spirit we are justified,
Through his blood we may become holy and fully sanctified.
Come, draw waters from the living Christ unto our salvation,
His well of living water will heal us all, yes, even every nation.
