To lead with compassion and understanding when emotions are high,
Taking the higher road when no one else seems to care or even try.
Filling our hearts with the love of God, spreading his love by example,
Brings the peace his love provides when our baskets with bread are full.
Being willing to extend virtue to those who might see routes another way,
Allows for our hearts and understanding to expand in contrast to stay.
Gaining new friends by our willingness to hear, as we seek to understand,
While others crave for power through hostility, through undignified demand.
To condemn, malign or vilify in order to get our own way is not the right road,
Replaced with love, concern for one another are the seeds that need sowed.
Finding reasons to come together rather than divisions of divided highways,
Provides the mechanism for building true compassion on single lane byways.
The call has been made by the prophet of the Lord to turn to love, not discord,
Put away the anger that never persuades, instead use the love He can afford.
Finding peace as a peacemaker, a true follower of Christ, builds everyone.
As we seek to become those who unite after the cause of the Holy divine Son.
