How provident, how divine has been this nation a land of freedom,
Where God has demanded that we serve him and build His kingdom.
Where protection and safety abide when we follow Him and His word.
When we no longer choose to serve Him, His voice cannot be heard.
Learning from the annuls of history should endear our hearts to Him,
For history repeats and lessons echo a timely and oh so familiar hymn.
Twice before, great nations have risen to great stature on this land,
Once they became wealthy, they turn from God, forgetting to stand.
What can we learn from the lessons taught as we face a similar fate,
Will we return as a nation to God, and serve his Holy Son too late?
Or be led by His hand a people enjoined, bend our knees once more,
To bow and kneel as a nation who honors the Savior to our core.
No longer can we ignore the fate of history that awaits at our door,
We must resolve at this late hour to turn our hearts and Him adore.
Forgetting things that do not matter, returning to what matters most.
Follow that one true God and his Holy Son to join in heaven’s host.
