As a Man Thinketh

As a man thinketh in his heart so is he,
The mind is the natural man he can see.
The heart is the spiritual center of thought,
For these are words that the Savior taught.

To put off the natural man must in turn be,
When we allow our mind to align and to see.
That the heart draws us nearer to God’s will,
When we listen and align we grow closer still.

Listening with our heart allows us to truly feel,
What the Lord gives us to know as we kneel.
Not with our mind alone but with both centers,
Provides meaning and context as the spirit enters.

May my heart be aligned with my soul’s center,
Finding peace in alignment the spirit will enter.
In time my heart and soul will conquer the beast,
And provide guidance to partake the Lord’s feast.
