Another Year

Another year has come and gone,
The bright lights have faded away.
Not changing my list year after year,
Has kept me unchanged, set in my way.

Life’s challenges seem to increase.
New resolutions fade within days,
As resolve suddenly seems to cease.

Another year has come and gone,
Oh, how the years have passed.
Looking at my wrinkled reflection,
Shows time has flown by way too fast.

Another year has come and gone,
What change the difference will make?
Will I remain stuck year to year,
Or finally that chance will I take.

Another year has come and gone,
Will this be the year I don’t repeat,
Finding the transformed life I seek,
By standing and moving my feet.
