Jesus inspires in us the desire to change,
He does not shame us to improve each day.
For he knows the better way to change,
His example has shown us the better way.
He does not ask us why it is so hard for us,
No, he does not place on us the blame.
He gently guides us into the covenant path,
Never deriding with the intent to shame.
Jesus is our only inspiration and desire,
He longs for us to repent every single day.
No need to carry the burden for long,
Just lighten the load along the way.
The Savior of mankind provides peace,
When we repent and change our ways.
Daily forgiveness does blessings bring,
As we follow his example singing his praise.
