The Character of Christ is pure love undefiled for all mankind,
He focused outward to heal the sick, and all wounds he did bind.
The deaf did hear, the blind did see, the lame did walk, the mute talked,
The daily building of all he taught as the land of Galilee he walked.
No mortal man could have walked the road from beginning to the end,
Only the Son of God could carry the heavy load under which he did bend.
His love and mercy did extend to those he loves as he showed the way,
He did not judge those who came in his path, but freely forgave each day.
His example for all was simple and defined that walk the dreary road,
Seek to serve and bind up the wounds of the weary their faith not erode.
Christ is the one whose love was enough to provide the path back to him,
Lighting the way of the covenant path that leads us whose lamps are dim.
There is no greater love that has ever been shown than what Christ did,
His pain and suffering beyond mortal realms did unlock the door he bid.
The path back to God was hewn from the stone rolled back for new days,
Now resurrected from deaths grasp sure, we seek to follow in his ways.
