The Name Ye are Called

Today you are given a new name because you covenant to be,
His sons and daughters children of Christ ye are made free.
A might change of heart and a covenant to do his will divine,
Spiritually begotten the Savior says, “Ye are indeed now mine”

Through faith on his name your heart has now become new,
Retaining his name in your heart, you pledge to forever be true.
Faith is the key by which we may change our hearts forever,
Yielding our ways to follow Him our light not changing ever.

Building each day step by step we honor and praise His name,
Finding in Him the covenant path he forever stakes his claim.
Sealed up into his eternal family, our obedience opens the way,
His wisdom, power, justice and mercy lays claim on us today.

Taking his name upon us through covenant is the only way,
Being steadfast and immovable in our good works each day.
Will bring us back into his presence when we have endured,
Knowing his voice that calls us each day our standing is insured.
