The Lord of Lords our Savior and Redeemer chose to suffer all,
In life and in death His love covered all redeemed from the fall.
In Heaven’s realm He ruled as King, anointed to save mankind,
Now on earth anointed by Mary the sacrificial lamb we now find.
He knowingly paid the precious price that would free mankind,
From deaths grip sure and sins outcast probation on our mind.
His sacrifice was but a prelude to heaven’s open way and door,
He willingly suffered pain and death so we all can live once more.
The soldiers secured Him to the cross with nails driven deep,
His hands, wrist and feet now scarred, His promises did keep.
They divided His clothes not knowing scripture was fulfilled,
The divinely appointed Savior and Redeemer they then killed.
The heavens and earth in agony rebelled against the dark night,
When in the tomb He was laid to rest, wherein there was no light.
All His creations rejoiced anew when He arose on the third day,
Rejoice, He lives again! He opened the doors to heaven’s way.
