Just Hold On

When the trials of life seem to drag you down, just hold on,
It is the storm that yields not you, that soon will be gone.
When the pains of life build walls to block the future view,
It is the pains that yield not you, that will see you through.

Just hold on as long as you can, then hold on a little longer,
Enduring with His hand in yours will only make you stronger.
He’ll hold on as he is securely fastened with cords of love,
Just hold on a little longer, He’ll reach his hand from above.

It is the grief, not you that is bound to depart from your heart,
It’s the Savior of mankind who’ll remove grief and do his part.
Just hold on not knowing when he will come, trusting in him,
He will light the fire within when our lamp of hope grows dim.

Just hold on, your faith will bring you through the dark night,
Reach out your hand and trust in his timing, the end is in sight.
He has already provided the means, staff, shield and stay,
Just hold on, He will hold you as you walk with him each day.
