How oft has He gathered and nourished us in His loving arms embrace?
Pleading for us to return unto Him to accept His loving mercy and grace?
Seeking out all those who will come unto Him with full purpose of heart,
Yielding their will to follow Him forever, never His covenant path to depart.
How oft He would have gathered and sustained us in His loving embrace?
Entreating us all to come unto Him seeking to repent and behold His face?
Welcoming all those who will come unto Him with full purpose of heart,
Returning once again into His loving grace determined to do their part.
How oft would He gather the weary and worn into His loving embrace?
Begging us all to return unto Him, freely forgiving our sins without a trace?
Running to lift and carry us along the pathway home wherever we may be,
Welcoming the prodigal son’s return, His joy and love we will clearly see.
How oft will He gather the rejected, scorned and lost children He has claimed?
Requesting for all to return and come unto Him each one He has redeemed!
Lifting us up when we fully return with full purpose of heart into His embrace,
Lovingly He will welcome us back under His wings now fully clean by His grace.
